Our Story.

We are professional research physicists with experience in government, corporate, and academic research. We are educators who have guided many successful students. Every day we solve real-world problems in physics, mathematics and programming in our work. Sometimes we solve problems just for fun when we’re relaxing. We’ve published many scientific papers, see a selection and a book. 

Like you, we were once students, and studied physics, mathematics, and computer programming. These subjects were all taught in separate classes. In physics we solved idealized problems, with little explanation about their relevance to more realistic ones. Our mathematics professors proved many theorems, but didn’t discuss applications. Computing was for the sake of computing. When we graduated (PhDs in physics, applied physics, and optics) and got our first jobs, we were asked to solve problems that were quite different from what we had studied. 

Our team is employed in the international corporate sector and designs advanced optical and photonic services, and sensors for displays and imaging systems. We have numerous publications and patents.
